Wei Ning slowed down, and through the car window, Jiang Ci saw Ye Wentao.
He stood sharply outside the revolving door and glanced at his watch from time to time, obviously waiting for her.

The car slowly came to a halt in front of the restaurant. Ye Wentao paused slightly on the car’s logo, took out his mobile phone, and sent a voice message to Jiang Ci: “Miss Jiang, I’m here.”
Jiang Ci didn’t click on the message, instead she opened the door and got out of the car, and without too much ice or warmth in her voice, she called out “Teacher Ye.”

At work, Jiang Ci always focused on comfort and convenience, but today she was dressed up, wearing a semi-formal long skirt, high heels, and her makeup was very cold. Ye Wentao looked at her and the car behind her with a subtle expression.

However, he quickly adjusted: “I haven’t seen you in a few days, Miss Jiang is more charming than before.”
Before Jiang Ci could exchange pleasantries, Wei Ning suddenly interrupted: “Ms. Jiang, contact me after you are done, and I will be nearby.”
   Jiang Ci nodded to him.
The car drove away. Ye Wentao looked at Jiang Ci thoughtfully, and Jiang Ci greeted him: “Teacher Ye, let’s go in first.”

The restaurant had a comfortable environment, first-class service, and the dishes were notoriously exquisite and delicious. Jiang Ci handed the menu to Ye Wentao. Across the table, her fingertips traced the menu and introduced him one by one: “These dishes are the signatures here. Teacher Ye, you have come from afar. You must try it.”

Ye Wentao’s gaze lingered from Jiang Ci’s white fingers to her slender wrist, and then fixed on her watch.
The diamonds inlaid on the dial reflected the lights in the restaurant, shooting out out bright lights from time to time.

Ye Wentao’s expression completely changed, and as he looked up, Jiang Ci finally stopped being stingy with her smile. She said: “I have learned a lot from the tour with Mr. Ye, and thanks to the teacher’s care along the way, I had to invite you for this meal.”
Ye Wentao did not fight with her anymore, and instead, he raised a toast to Jiang Ci: “Miss Jiang, you are very smart. I am looking forward to our next cooperation.”

Jiang Ci thought that there would be no next time, but she still clinked glasses with him generously. Then, when the meal was over, the two said goodbye to each other, and Ye Wentao did not raise the issue of sailing.

Ye Wentao thought that Jiang Ci was worth a lot. In addition to piano, she also had the hobby of collecting famous watches. During the interval of the tour, he also talked about this watch to Jiang Ci while they were in the orchestra. The brand is limited edtion, custom made, and money can’t buy it.
Jiang Ci is not a woman he can handle with a million. To offer this price is simply a shame.

After returning home, Jiang Ci returned the watch to its original position, and after taking a shower, while lying on the bed fragrantly, she dialed Lu Xingxue.
After a few beeps, Lu Xingxue connected: “Jiang Ci.”
Jiang Ci caught the hoarseness in her voice: “Are you uncomfortable? Or did I interrupt your sleep?”
Lu Xingxue: “I have a cold.”
“Is it serious?” Jiang Ci grabbed the cat doll on the side and stroked its fluffy and smooth tail with all her heart.
Lu Xingxue: “It’s not serious, just a little cough.”
Jiang Ci: “Do you have any medicine?”
Lu Xingxue: “Assistant Yao brought it, and I’ve eaten it.”

Lu Xingxue’s assistant has followed her for many years, and will consider everything in every detail. With her watching over Lu Xingxue, Jiang Ci felt that she didn’t need to express extra concern anymore, so she turned back to the purpose of making this call: “…Thank you so much for today. When you come back from a business trip… I will invite you to dinner!”
Lu Xingxue’s answer was light and soft: “Yes.”
Jiang Ci: “Then you pay attention to your body, I won’t disturb you.”

Jiang Ci hung up and asked Huo Zhenzhen if she had been to any good restaurants recently. Huo Zhenzhen recommended a restaurant to her. Jiang Ci checked the store’s environment and evaluation, and it seemed to be pretty good.

Lu Xingxue’s business trip ended. On the day she returned home, Jiang Ci was nestling in her room with the computer, putting the finishing touches on the speech.
The door was open, and she heard a movement from downstairs, so she moved the computer and walked out of the room.

Lu Xingxue was walking upstairs, her long dark hair tied back, and one hand in her pocket. She walked slowly, but her slippers on the wooden floor made a slight noise.

“Hi.” Jiang Ci leaned against the doorframe and greeted her.
Lu Xingxue’s cherry lips moved slightly: “Hi.”

Jiang Ci was sensitive to voices. Lu Xingxue’s “Hi” was breathy and caught her inexplicably. She touched her earlobe nervously: “…Is the cold better?”
   Lu Xingxue: “It’s already gone.”
Jiang Ci looked at her: “Huo Zhenzhen recommended a good restaurant. Are you interested in going to try it together tomorrow?”
   Lu Xingxue: “When is tomorrow?”
Jiang Ci: “At night? I’m going to G University to attend a lecture tomorrow afternoon. It won’t be over until late, but I will book a table with the store in advance.”
   Lu Xingxue: “Yeah.”

After the agreement was made, the two separated. Jiang Ci went back to her room to revise the manuscript. Lu Xingxue took a bath to relieve some fatigue, and couldn’t sleep for a while, thinking about going to the tea room to light an incense, before reading a book and going to sleep.

With a glance, she saw the messy Rubik’s Cube on the corner of the tea table.
She walked over and lightly touched her fingertips on the Rubik’s Cube, and smiled silently.

The next afternoon, when Jiang Ci stood on the podium, it was just past 4:30. Two old professors spoke before her,and she thought she had been indoctrinated with the theory. At this point in time, some of the sleepy students would usually leave early, but the classroom was still full.

Opening the PowerPoint, Jiang Ci easily spoke about her familiar field: “Every player has his own playing preferences and needs, and different pianos have different timbre characteristics. As a tuning consultant, we are the bridge between the player and the piano…”

The air-conditioned classroom was full. Jiang Ci was wearing a linen suit with a soft satin shirt underneath. Her hair was eye-catching and beautiful.
was surrounded by her clear voice, and the cicadas on the tree outside seemed less noisy. The sunlight casts the shadow of the tree on the wall, and Jiang Ci stands beside the shadow, with a slim figure.

The manuscript was arranged for two hours, and many actual cases encountered were interspersed in the theory. What was originally boring was very vivid by her.
To the students, encapsulated by her clear voice, the cicadas on the big tree outside seemed less noisy. The sunlight cast the shadow of the tree on the wall, and Jiang Ci stood beside it with a slim figure.

The presentation was arranged for two hours, and many actual cases encountered were interspersed in the theory. What was originally boring was made vivid by Jiang Ci’s voice and mannerisms.
Approaching the end, she glanced at the wall clock: “This is the essence of what I want to communicate. If there are students who want to ask questions, you are welcome to speak.”
While the students whispered to each other, Jiang Ci sent a message to Lu Xingxue: “I will be done in about ten.”

Lu Xingxue who had only sat down for less than half a minute, looked at the content of the message on the screen, and did not immediately reply. She was in the last row, and the two girls sitting in front of her were muttering:
“You know that this industry has a lot of qualifications, but look at her, the youngest chief who has been exceptionally promoted in history, and her resume says that she is only 25 years old!”
“Hey, her sensitivity to pitch and accuracy of her wrist power are beyond our reach.”
“…Are you really not talking about pornography?”
“Do I have that kind of yellow tone? Am I such a person?”

The two girls looked at each other and smiled.

“But she is so professional and beautiful, who knows what kind of person she will look for?”
The voice fell into Lu Xing’s snow white ears, and she raised her eyebrows lightly.

Eventually, a boy in the first row of the audience raised his hand, and plucked up the courage to stammer and ask: “Teacher, Teacher Jiang Ci, would you consider sibling love?”
The previously quiet classroom was full of chaos because of this problem, and their young faces were full of delightful expressions.

“Don’t think about it.” Jiang Ci leaned her elbow on the podium.
The boy’s face and ears were red: “Yes, but–“
Jiang Ci’s expression remained unchanged: “I have been married for three years.”

   Everyone: “?”
   Everyone: “!!!”
Jiang Ci’s gaze flicked across the boiling classroom, and suddenly landed on Lu Xingxue who had appeared in the last row and sat in the last seat.

Ok?

  …………

After the lecture, Jiang Ci and Lu Xingxue left G University together.
The two didn’t talk much on the way, and sat down in the restaurant. Jiang Ci took off her suit and rolled up her shirt sleeves, revealing a small arm.
The skin was plump and the texture was fine.

Lu Xingxue glanced over and caught her gaze: “At the beginning of next month, can you spare a day?”
Jiang Ci knew that her parents’ memorial day was approaching, and nodded in response: “I will be free.”

The two don’t have much contact with each other, and since each is in a different industry, there are always few common topics. After saying this, they fell into a long silence again. Fortunately, the dishes are cooked quickly. Jiang Ci tasted it and it was really delicious.
Eating, drinking and having fun, Huo Zhenzhen generally can’t go wrong..

While Jiang Ci concentrated on eating fish fillets, Lu Xingxue remembered something: “That’s right…”
Jiang Ci raised her head slightly, eyes slightly widened and very round, looking at Lu Xingxue, indicating that she was listening.

   Like a docile cat.

Lu Xingxue curled her lips mischievously: “Grandpa asked me today if I have any plans to have children.”
“Cough…!” Jiang Ci choked, her face turning red. She quickly put down her chopsticks to have a drink.

Lu Xingxue lowered his eyes: “I told him that this is not a good time. I don’t want to think about it for the time being. I still haven’t—”
“Lu Xingxue” Jiang Ci interrupted her, “…I got stuck by a fish bone.”

Lu Xingxue sent Jiang Ci to the nearest emergency room. A small queue was lined up outside the sitting office of the ear, nose and throat department. In front of Jiang Ci was a young mother with a little boy. She only heard her teasing her son: “Slow down a little, you eat as if an army of 100,000 is coming to grab it. So anxious, have you ever eaten fish? If you let the girls who like you know that you got stabbed when you ate a fish in private, and came to the hospital to see the emergency department at night, they will laugh at you to death.”
   The little boy listened dejectedly.

Jiang Ci nonchalantly observed Lu Xingxue’s reaction. Lu Xingxue lowered her head as if laughing.
   Jiang Ci looked back blankly.

It was Jiang Ci’s turn to see the doctor. She told the doctor that she had been stuck with a fish bone. The doctor saw that there was another one behind and reminded: “Line up in order, come in one by one.”
Lu Xingxue explained: “She is my wife.”
The doctor laughed: “Your wife has no major problems, don’t worry, go out and wait first.”

Lu Xingxue closed the door on her way out, and the voices outside could not be heard clearly. The doctor asked Jiang Ci to open her mouth: “I will check first. If it can be removed directly, you don’t need a laryngoscope.”
Jiang Ci opened her mouth obediently and asked the doctor to check her throat.

“…I saw it, don’t move, I’ll pull it out for you.”
With the doctor’s voice was in her ear, Jiang Ci suddenly recalled.

“She is my wife,” she remembered how Lu Xingxue said this.

Jiang Ci closed her eyes, and the Lu Xingxue wearing a silk cheongsam, with skin like cream, exquisite and elegant, under the pale light of the emergency room, there was really an indescribable beauty about her.

One reply on “She Belongs To Me Chapter 3”

That was too precious. I like how their interactions are not forced and that they are alienated at first. Can’t wait for things to get warmer. Thanks for the chapter~
